Floating your horses teeth maintains better overall health, because the horse uses its food more efficiently. This saves money on feed bills. It also prevents neck, back and lameness problems for three reasons:
1) Horse is better able to balance his/her head (no sore neck muscles).
2) Horse doesn't have to compensate front end balance by mis-using his hind end (stops better, less stress on hocks, stifles, etc.).
3) Gets better nutrition so his or her muscles work more efficiently (a weak muscle cannot perform its job and is prone to injury).
February is dental month. Duingthe month of February East Coast Equine, LLC is offering a $10 discount on horses brought to The Barn at East Coast Equine for teeth floating. The dates are Friday February 15 and Tuesday February 26, 2008. Please call for an appointment. 843 - 832 - 8324.
